The journey to selecting these host countries began in November 2021 when the ICC Board awarded them the hosting rights. The decision to choose these venues followed an extensive evaluation of multiple options, ensuring that the tournament would be hosted in ideal locations.

With a total of 20 teams set to compete for the coveted trophy in the 2024 Men's T20 World Cup, the excitement is palpable. Fifteen teams have already secured their spots, with the remaining five to be determined through the Americas, Asia, and Africa Qualifiers in the coming months.

Among the confirmed participants, the United States and the West Indies have secured their positions as hosts. Australia, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka are all set to participate after finishing in the top eight in the 2022 edition.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan have earned their spots through their rankings in the ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings at the conclusion of the previous T20 World Cup. Additionally, Ireland, Scotland, and PNG have secured their berths via the Qualifiers.
