Geoff Allardice, the Chief Executive of the ICC, expressed his delight, stating, “We're delighted to announce the seven Caribbean venues that will host the biggest ICC Men’s T20 World Cup ever staged, with 20 teams competing for the trophy. They’re all popular venues with players and fans alike that will provide a wonderful backdrop to the event."

Notably, this T20 World Cup represents the third ICC senior men's event hosted by the West Indies, further solidifying the region's reputation as a cricketing powerhouse. Allardice extended his gratitude to Cricket West Indies and the host governments for their unwavering support of the sport.

Johnny Grave, the CEO of Cricket West Indies, echoed the sentiment of excitement, emphasizing the significance of this sporting extravaganza. The journey to selecting these host countries began in November 2021 when the ICC Board awarded them the hosting rights. The decision to choose these venues followed an extensive evaluation of multiple options, ensuring that the tournament would be hosted in ideal locations.

With a total of 20 teams set to compete for the coveted trophy in the 2024 Men's T20 World Cup, the excitement is palpable. Fifteen teams have already secured their spots, with the remaining five to be determined through the Americas, Asia, and Africa Qualifiers in the coming months.

Among the confirmed participants, the United States and the West Indies have secured their positions as hosts. Australia, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka are all set to participate after finishing in the top eight in the 2022 edition.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan have earned their spots through their rankings in the ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings at the conclusion of the previous T20 World Cup. Additionally, Ireland, Scotland, and PNG have secured their berths via the Qualifiers.
