A diplomatic spectacle that radiates warmth and camaraderie, Prime Minister Narendra Modi rolled out the red carpet for UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, affectionately welcoming him with the words, "Welcome to India, my brother." The prestigious occasion unfolded at Gujarat's Ahmedabad, where the two leaders embarked on a roadshow as part of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.
The reception at the airport was nothing short of regal, with Prime Minister Modi personally greeting the UAE President. A ceremonial guard of honour added a touch of grandeur to the proceedings. Alongside PM Modi, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, and other dignitaries stood united in extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guest.
The Vibrant Gujarat Summit, initiated in 2003 under Modi's leadership as the state chief minister, has evolved into a global platform fostering economic growth and international collaboration. This year's edition, the tenth in its legacy, is scheduled from January 10 to 12 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Expressing his excitement about the summit, PM Modi shared his sentiments upon arriving in Ahmedabad, stating, "Landed in Ahmedabad a short while ago. Over the next two days, will be taking part in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and related programmes. It is a matter of immense joy that various world leaders will be joining us during this summit. The coming of my brother, Mohamed Bin Zayed, is very special."
In a thoughtful post on the social media platform X, PM Modi acknowledged the significant role of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in contributing to the growth of Gujarat and creating opportunities for its people.
Notably, the summit boasts the participation of other global leaders, including Timor Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta. A total of 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations have joined hands to make this edition a resounding success.
The Ministry of Development of the North-Eastern Region is leveraging the platform to showcase investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions, emphasizing the summit's role as a catalyst for economic development beyond Gujarat's borders.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit's agenda is brimming with diverse events, including seminars and conferences on globally relevant topics such as Industry 4.0, Technology and Innovation, Sustainable Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen, Electric Mobility, Renewable Energy, and Transition towards Sustainability.
The spotlight is also on the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show, where companies showcase products crafted with state-of-the-art technology. E-mobility, Start-ups, MSMEs, Blue Economy, Green Energy, and Smart Infrastructure emerge as focal points of the Trade Show, underscoring the summit's commitment to cutting-edge advancements and sustainable practices.
