Government Reduces LPG Gas Cylinder Prices by ₹200 and Increases Subsidy for Ujjwala Scheme

The Indian government has reduced cooking gas prices by ₹200 per cylinder for all household consumers as part of a recent Union cabinet meeting decision. The cabinet has also given the green light for an increased subsidy  within the Ujjwala scheme, specifically adding ₹200. 

This means that beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) will now receive a total subsidy of ₹400 per cylinder. has announced a reduction of ₹200 in the prices of LPG gas cylinders for all consumers. Additionally, the cabinet has approved an extra subsidy through the Ujjwala scheme, making the total subsidy ₹400 per cylinder for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY)
